When you try to see the whole you fall into the hole.
Adam fell not from a place. He fell from God's NOW into his own little fragmented pieces of now that he calls past, present and future and which he tries so hard to glue together using space-and-time units to retrieve the timeless meaning lost on that Edenic moment.
From here, the way back to that moment is not through how much more you're willing to see, do or know but through how much more you're willing to undo, unsee and negate the knowledge of.
Adam wanted to see the WHOLE of God's Infinite Unity, he thus fell into the hole of a world ruled by Finite Plurality.
And don't we all translate Adam's fall in every flux of a moment, even now as we speak?
Every time your mind identifies anything as ONE (i.e. this tree, that house, this person), your mind is actually echoing the momentum of that shattering moment when Adam fell from Absolute Unity into Numeric Plurality). And really come to think of it:
how on earth are you able to isolate thoughts, objects, events and feelings within numeric frames of knowledge? How are you able to attribute unity into a given thought or object in order to highlight its presence in your world?
I guess the real question is: how can you even recognise number in things when number itself can never be encountered or experienced on any empirical level?
Have you ever met number 1? Is there a plant called 1, or a tree that bears a fruit called 1? Then how on earth are you able to see unity in things?
How on earth were you able to know that your mother and father are two different persons and that the apple is separate from the plate its on, and the plate is separate from the table its on and the table is separate from the wall behind it and and and etc.
